The Walther Blohm Foundation supports talented young talent in the field of aerospace by granting grants

• for the further training of young engineers
• for doctoral students
• for stays abroad, study trips and comparable measures, which undoubtedly serve to further professional training
• to carry out technical projects in the context of university groups.

The criteria for funding from the Walther Blohm Foundation are

• good to very good academic achievements
• rapid study
• extramural involvement
• no support for studies in general.

We expect from the people we support

• the demonstrable concentration on the field of aerospace
• a realistic timetable for the proposed project
• If necessary, a convincing presentation of the particular benefits of an intended study trip, a special training measure or similar.
• a credible representation of the need for support.

We expect sponsored groups to do so

• Project work in the field of aerospace
• proof of the continuity of the group
• a credible representation of the group's successful work
• the presentation of the special benefits of a study trip, the progressive character of a technical project, etc.
• a convincing presentation of the need for support.

The application forms are available for you to apply for funding below. We also recommend that you supplement it with suitable documents in accordance with the funding criteria listed above.

The board of directors of the foundation decides on the granting of a grant in accordance with the statutes and within the framework of the available funds.

The grant to the funded recipients can be granted as interest-free, repayable or non-repayable support. It can consist of a one-off payment or – in exceptional cases – regular payments over a defined period of time.

Your development is important to us: By accepting the funding, the funding recipient undertakes to report to the foundation at appropriate intervals on the progress achieved (in studies, doctorates, projects, etc.) and in particular to document the degree achieved, etc.

By accepting the funding, the funding recipient also undertakes to notify the foundation of any significant change in economic conditions (need for funding). If the need for funding and thus the business basis for the funding no longer applies, the foundation can stop providing services before the end of the originally promised funding period.
